The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has received a three bed room self-contained structure from the Joseph Osei DJABA Foundation as a CHIPS Compound for Fofie CHIPS Compound at Asokore in the New Juaben North Municipality.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Comfort Asante, thanked the Joseph Osei Djaba foundation for such an initiative which will bring healthcare to the doorsteps of the people. There is a saying that our health is our wealth, and it is very important that as a Nation we invest in healthcare for the wellbeing of the people.
Due to limited and scarce resources however, government alone cannot address all our health needs, and for this reason will require the support of philanthropists and other organizations to come up with such initiatives to make healthcare easily accessible to the people.
The government acknowledges the private sector and individuals as development partners and counts on their support for socio-economic Development of our Nation.
The New Juaben North municipal Director of health, madam Nana Y aa Konadu Gyesaw expressed her profound gratitude to the Joseph Osei Djaba Foundation for the aid and outmost relief their positive drive will bring to the people of Asokore and the municipality as a whole. And also urged the foundation and all present to continue with such good actions to help make lives of the people easier.
Nana Antwi Panii II, chief of Asokore Traditional Area, a designate of Nana Kwaku Boateng III, Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, in the capacity of the Omanhene, himself, all sub chiefs of the said traditional area and the entire community, expressed his appreciation to the Joseph Osei Djaba Foundation for providing the people of Asokore with a CHIPS compound and further mentioned the numerous ways the facility was going to help not only himself but the entire community and its environs. He ended his speech by mentioning how more philanthropist and organizations should continue coming to the aid of the people, and that, such dynamism will help in a faster paced development of Asokore and the nation as a whole.
The former New Patriotic Party chairman, Hon. Freddy Blay, graced the ribbon cutting ceremony with his presence and was very grateful to the Joseph Osei Djaba Foundation for the CHIPS compound. He concluded by pleading to all that were present to do well to aid in the proper maintenance and usage of the facility in order for it to last, as long as possible for the people of Asokore and the entire municipality.
Founder of the Djaba foundation, Mr. Joseph Osei Djaba thanked everyone that made time to be present for the ribbon cutting and handing over ceremony of the CHIPS compound. He also expressed his profound gratitude to the Omanhene and chief of Asokore for being gracious, accepting and allowing him to make his dream a reality. He said without the acceptance of the Omanhene, his sub chiefs and the people of Asokore, the project would not have been a successful one. He continued by saying that, in the capacity of the foundation, they will do their best to continue to provide amenities for the people of Asokore to aid make their livelihood an easy one.
