KOTECH FIRE OUTBREAK

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament, Nana Adjei Boating have made available relief items to be distributed to victims of the affected students at koforidua technical institute (KOTECH) school in the municipality.

The items were the donation of twenty thousand Ghana cedi’s (20,000), eighty (80) pieces of blanket, one (1) second hand clothes bale, eighty (80) plastic cups, eighty (80) plastic plates, and forty (40) mosquito nets, three (3) boxes of soap, and forty (40) pieces of rubber buckets.

The items were presented to the head master of the school, Engineer Bernard Forson representing the students, the Member of Parliament urged the headmaster to distribute the items evenly to the affected students.

Seventy – five (75) students were affected, nine (9) of them were injured while two (2) have been hospitalized at the St. Joseph Hospital.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Comfort Asante in her address advised the students to get back to their normal classes from tomorrow and will make sure nothing disturbs their studies as the Assembly stands with them to get environment for their studies.

The Headmaster of the school, Engineer Bernard Forson expressed their gratitude to the assembly and to the Member of Parliament for their assistance to the affected students and the school at large.

Present were the Municipal Coordinating Director for New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Mr. Ndinga Nborinyi, Municipal Finance Officer, Mr. Alhassan Muntarah, Municipal Budget Officer, Mr. Joseph Atta Baah, Municipal Planning Officer, Madam Florence Nartey, Municipal Audit Officer, Madam Gifty Adamah and the Municipal NADMO Director, Mr. Albert Danso.
