MONITORING AND EVALUATION BY THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

As mandated by the L.I 2232 of the National Development Planning Regulations, 2016, all MMDAs are required to conduct quarterly  Monitoring  and  Evaluation  of all projects in the Municipality to inspect and to identify projects achievements, constraints and failures so that improvements can be made to project designs to achieve better results and to ensure transparency, social accountability and value for money in the implementation to aid in decision making, New Juaben North Municipal Assembly conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects in the Municipalities.

The team visited the following projects sites, Construction of 1 No.1 story Administration block for health Directorate at Jumapo, construction of 1 No. ( 14)  seater W/C  facility at Oyoko,contruction of 1 No.2  Unit KG class room block  at Effiduase R\C, construction of 1 No.2  Unit KG  class room block  at Asokore Salvation Army,contruction of 1 No.1 Maternity  wing at Asokore  chips  compound and construction of 1 No.5  Unit  lockable stores at Effiduase.

The monitoring team was led by the New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Comfort Asante and other officers from the Assembly such as Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Ndinga Nborinyi ,Municipal planning officer, Mrs. Florence Nartey, Municipal Finance Officer ,Mr Alhasan Muntara, Municipal works Engineer, Mr Anim Botse ,Municipal Budget Analysts ,Mr Joseph Attah Baah, Municipal director for health , Nana Yaa Konadu, Education directorate was represented by Mr. Boateng,Hon.Oti Akenten,representing the Member of Parliament for New Juaben North Constituency and other honorable Members who have the projects in their electoral areas.

The monitoring team observed a satisfactory progress work done by the contractors and was optimistic the projects would be completed as scheduled.

 

The market women at the Effiduase market were grateful to the Assembly and the MCE for the construction of the market stores.
