The Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) in collaboration with the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly commissioned a ten seater ultra-modern water closet toilet facility for two schools in the Municipality, and they are Ghana Senior High School (GHANASS) and the Oyoko Methodist Senior High School (OMESS).
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Comfort Asante in her address stated that as part of the Presidents Promises which is the One Million dollar per Constituency, the Middle Belt Development Authority with the Municipal Assembly through the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) constructed the toilet facility to be used by people in the Municipality and they deem it best to construct such facility in two schools since they need it most.
She urged the students to take a very good care of the facility given to them and also make sure to adhere to all health protocols in order to keep them safe to become great people in future.
The Assembly in its capacity also provided some other items which include veronica buckets with its stand, waste bins, liquid soaps and tissues to be used by student after using the facility.
The Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) representative, Mr. Bright Botwe also advised the staffs and students to take a proper maintenance of the facility given to them.
The Municipal Environmental Director, Mr. Darko took the opportunity to teach the students on how to use the facility since it’s an ultra-modern facility which when used well, it can generate a biogas which can be used in the school.
Head masters of the schools applauded the President and the Assembly for their kind gesture bestowed on them. They promised to take a very good care of the facility.
