NJNMA STAFF RECEIVED CAPACITY TRAINING

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has organized a two day workshop training for all staffs, as part of institutional strengthening and capacity building.

The purpose of the training was to sharpen the skills of employees on Intermediate I.T Skills and Public Financial Management (PFM) as well as the Public Financial Management Act 921, 2016 for HODs/HOUs and their assistance for effective Service Delivery.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Comfort Asante in her address asked the participants to take the training very serious to enrich their knowledge in financial management and IT Skills to enhance their work.

She   urged the staff to grab this opportunity to enhance their knowledge with the requisite in computer skills and also to know the PFM Cycle and the legal instrument (LI) 2378, 2019 which explained the power to mobilized revenue and payment procedure by the spending officers.

On the first day, 45 staffs of the Assembly were taken through the four modules of the PFM systems on how to prepare financial statement and other duties.

The participated   officers were the Accounts officers, budget officers, Audit officers, Revenue collectors. Planning officers, and Engineers of the Assembly.

The second day, 48 staffs were taken through computer training skills such as how to prepare Power Point, Excels and others.

Presents were   the Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Attah Baah Joseph, Municipal Audit officer, Madam Gifty Mama   and the Human Resource Officer, Mrs. Grace Ohene Amponsah, Dr Alexander Otopah, the facilitator and Mr. Addo Isaac, facilitator.
