Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation

The Department of Agriculture of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly in the Second Quarter monitored post -planting activities of farmers in the Municipality as a follow up of the pre- planting monitoring activities. The purpose was to assess the implementation and effectiveness of the department’s  support services for local farmers after the initial planting period.

Relevant stakeholders were involved in the process of PM&E and engaged in taking corrective action. Farmers in the Municipality are active participants in the monitoring activities.   During the process of monitoring and evaluation, farmers evaluate and Agriculture Extension Agents from the Assembly only facilitate. The benefits of PM&E to the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly includes the early identification and addressing any identified issues and strengthening the overall effectiveness of the planting season.
