The New Juaben North Social welfare department has organized a one day workshop training for early Childhood Development Centeres in the Municipality as part of institutional strengthening and Capacity building.
The purpose of the training was to sharpen the skills of the Day Care Operators and equip them with knowledge on laws & policies governing Day Care Centers.
The New Juaben Municipal Chief Executive for,Hon. Samuel Adongo in his address asked participants to take the training seriously to enrich their knowledge in the

Role of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development.He stressed that the wellbeing of children and vulnerable individuals are paramount in the society and therefore urdged Proprietors to be committed not only as Managers but also as individuals with deep ethical and legal knowledge.
The Municipal Director of Social Welfare and Community Development, Mr Patrick Opong took the participants through the Registration, Renewal, Requirements and penalty for adherence to standards and permits in the operation of a Day Care Center.
Mr. Bismark Amoh,a facilitator urged the Operators to create a safe environment for every child irrespective of their physical challenge as the law demands.
The Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Daniel Darku, took participants through effective measures to make their environment safe for the children and also good hygiene practices.
In all, twenty- five (25) Operators were trained.
