Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North Hon Samuel Adongo has announced plans by the Assembly to construct modern toilet and Girls changing room facilities in all Basic schools in the Municipality to enhance sanitation and menstrual hygiene.
He said this when Eastern Regional Health Directorate in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) commemorated this year’s World Menstrual Hygiene Day at Koforidua -Asokore Thursday May 28,2026,with a renewed call for intensified education to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation.
