One Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty-nine(1239) Candidates from 43 basic schools in the New Juaben North Municipality today commenced this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The candidates from 26 public and 17 private schools respectively, made up of 593 males and 646 females sat for the Examination.
An entourage led by the Member of Parliament for the New Juaben North Constituency ,Hon. Osei Adjei advised candidates to stick to their books in order for them to achieve academic excellence. He urged them to read through their questions thoroughly to enable them answer correctly.
The New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive,Hon. Samuel Adongo on his part asked candidates to eschew any fear and face the exams with dedication and commitment, so as to see their dreams come true . This he said will go a long way to make both parents and the Government proud.
‘The future of this country depends on you and therefore the need to do away with any examination malpractices which will jeopardize your future’, he stressed.
Both MP and the MCE pledged to support 30 candidates who performs well in their exams.
The Member of Parliament for the New Juaben North Constituency toured the various centers with the Municipal Chief Executive,the Municipal Education Director, the Presiding with some party members,the Municipal Information Officer ,Education Directorates and the media.
