GHANA ENTERPRISE AGENCY SENSETIZATION

The Ghana Enterprise Agency in partnership with MasterCard foundation have organized sensitization for apprentices and masters dubbed,” Business in a BOX (Biz BOX) project”.

The programme is being finance by MasterCard foundation, seeking to support the government’s top priority agenda of upgrading skills amongst Ghanaians and aiding them in the startup of their various businesses.

Three hundred (300) people from the New Juaben North Municipality attended the programme.

Some of the beneficiaries were persons with disability, unemployed youth and existing SME”s owned by school dropouts between the ages of 18 to 35years.

The facilitator Madam Margaret Kani said the project aims to provide skills training and competitive start up grants to the youth who have the passion to start their owned businesses.

She went further by saying the idea is to empower the youth for a better and brighter future.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Edward Asante Antwi was present at the sensitization and encourage the participants to take the exercise very seriously and also went further to say that the private sector is the driving force of the economy, so empowering the youth to start up their own business is a good initiative and will help boost the economy of Ghana.

Present were the New Juaben North Municipal coordinating Director, Mr. Ndinga Nborinyi and Madam Adelaide Morrison.
