The Eastern Regional Ghana Federation for Persons with Disability Executives paid a working visit to the office of the New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive to relay their concerns and issues with regards to the Association.
The Secretary for the Federation, Madam Eva Andorful stated that the association has realized that some of the problems they face are not caused by the Government but individuals and pleaded that they are looking forward to the implementation of the 5% increment of the common fund allocated for persons with disability.
She pleaded that every donation made by the Assembly should be made known to them to ensure transparency.
The Municipal Chief Executive,Hon.Samuel Adongo advised that the association educates it’s members not to be seen begging for money on streets to encourage the Government to do more for them.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Anthony Kwenin stressed that the Association must be united to help them achieve a common goal.
Present was, the Regional President of the Association, Mr. Stephen Abrokwah, Mr. Solomon Nartey, the Vice President, Madam Eunice Owusu Anderson, the Gender Rep, Mr. Eric Dey Kwame, the P.R.O, Mr. Ezekiel Attah, the Treasurer, Mr. Amankwa Theophilus, the Sign Language Interpreter for the deaf Association and Mr. Isaac Tetteh.
