The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Comfort Asante visited the Asokore Palace for the naming of streets in the Municipality. It’s a good idea that all streets have a name so that location of an area won’t be difficult to locate and giving directions will also be easier, she said.
The Municipal Chief Executive added that, the Assembly will get in touch with the company responsible for the construction of the asphalt road and the necessary measures will be taken.
The Chief made mention of the repairs of the main pipeline on the main road which was once promised to be dealt with but has not been given out to a contractor yet.
The meeting which was held in the Asokore Palace is to aid the communities get their street names in order to help identify locations within the Effiduase and Asokore Township.
Mr. George Ayensu, the head of New Juaben North Municipal Assembly’s Town Planning Department in an illustration demonstrated demarcations of all roads and landmarks within the Effiduase and Asokore Township with the motive of its street naming.
Mr. Ayensu made it clear that it was necessary to hold this meeting in order to carry out a successful naming of the streets in the Municipality.
The gathering which includes the Municipal Chief Executive, the Chief and his Elders, the Municipal Coordinating Director and the Head of the Municipal Town Planning Officer with his team, agreed to meet on Tuesday, 5th March, 2019 to come out with the street names at 10:00am.
