HONOURABLE COMFORT ASANTE (MCE)
A product of Ofori Panin Secondary School, she has Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ Post Sec from Akrokeri Teachers College and a Bachelor of Education Degree in Akan and English Languages in 1994. She later proceeded to the University of Cape Coast to obtain a 2nd degree – M. Phil in Akan.
She has been a teacher for over 40 years at the various levels of the Education ladder, from the Basic School level through to the Tertiary, where she rose to the position of a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast.
A Methodist Local Preacher, Hon. Comfort Asante served as a Government Appointee in the then New Juaben Municipal Assembly from 2000-2008 and also as the Municipal Chief Executive of the same Assembly from 2017 to 2018.

THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY
- The Municipality was founded in 2017, it was carved out of the then New Juaben Municipality. The city has a settlement population of 62,171 people in 2018. The Municipality has a total surface area of 106 square kilometers.
- The municipality is home to many businesses (agriculture, service and sales, Craft and related trades) with exception of heavy duty industries.
- The municipality is made up of a blend of traditional and present day modern architecture with an economy based on an abundance of agriculture and trade.
