A major disinfection exercise to cleanse all the markets and streets in the New Juaben North District has been successfully completed.
The exercise was organised by the New Juaben North District Assembly in partnership with waste management company, Tebel Ghana Limited.
It was aimed at disinfecting various markets and drains across the main streets, some public toilets, clinic and resource centres to curb the spread of coronavirus in the New Juaben North Municipality.
The exercise brought commercial activities in major towns in the Municipality to a halt as traders and shop keepers closed down their shops and stores to pave way for the exercise.
Some of the places sprayed include Markets in Effiduase, Asokore, Akwadum, Oyoko, Jumapo, Suhyen, Pipeline market, Slaughters slam. The Asikasu Clinic, Jumapo resource Centre and the entire Public toilet in the Municipality were not left out.
The exercise which started at 6am on 30th July, 2020, finally came to an end before 12 noon.
