The visit was to formally welcome the MCE and also to ensure him of their unflinching support during his tenure in office.
The MCE expressed his appreciation for their presence and assured them of his commitment to work with them to achieve the common goal of making the Municipality one of the best.
He pleaded with the Council to use their platforms to sensitize their youth to involve themselves in developmental activities such as the National Sanitation day amongst others.
Hon. Samuel Adongo said that issues of hygiene must be addressed in order to prevent the spread of diseases.” We will do whatever we can to motivate communities, Zonal Councils and Assembly members in their various electoral areas with attractive incentives to help achieve our goal of being the best in terms of sanitation”, he stressed.
Hon. Adongo made it know that eleven of the project inherited from the previous Government will be completed for the benefit of the Municipality.
The MCE however, lamented how personal hygiene has been undermined in recent times affecting human health and tasked them to do their best to work with Assembly towards the goal of a healthy environment.
Chairman of the New Juaben North Council of Imams ,Abdul Aziz Muhammed, thanked the MCE and assured him of their commitment to be available any time when the need be.
