As part of the PERD project, oil palm and coconut seedlings were distributed to beneficiary farmers within the Municipality for the quarter under review. These seedlings were supplied to the Municipality by Minerals Commission.

Analysis
A total of 18,000 oil palm seedlings was received by the department and 17,898 was distributed to beneficiary farmers whiles 200 coconut seedlings were received and distributed to beneficiary farmers. Few seedlings oil palm seedlings got spoilt in the process of loading and offloading. Farmers are content and still demanding for more of such seedlings especially the coconut.
