Teacher Absenteeism
There were no reported cases of Teacher Absenteeism at the Basic Level in the Municipality in the Second quarter of 2024.
Gender Parity Index
Apart from the Primary, gender parity index data for kindergarten, Junior High School, and Senior High Schools in the Municipality indicates that there are slightly fewer girls enrolled in these levels compared to boys.
The Municipal Assembly and managers of education in the Municipality should consider strategies to address this imbalance and ensure equal access and opportunity for both boys and girls in the Municipality.
Pupil Teacher Ratio
The Municipality has a pupil teacher ratio of 1:34 at the Kindergarten level which implies that there is one teacher for every thirty four students in a Kindergarten class. That of primary is 1:25, JHS is 1:18 and SHS is 1:25. These positive pupil teacher ratios in the Municipality will contribute to a more effective learning environment for students in the Municipality.
Number of New Classrooms Blocks Constructed
No new classroom block has been handed over yet to any Basic School in the Second quarter of 2024. However, One KG (2 Unit) classroom block at Asokore Salvation Basic School was in its advanced stage of completion. This classroom block when completed will supplement the existing classroom blocks in the Municipality at the basic level.
