MONITORING AND EVALUATION BY THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

As mandated by the L.I 2232 of the National Development Planning Regulations, 2016, all MMDAs are required to conduct quarterly  Monitoring  and  Evaluation  of all projects in the Municipality to inspect and to identify projects achievements, constraints and failures so that improvements can be made to project designs to achieve better results and to ensure transparency, social accountability and value for money in the implementation to aid in decision making, New Juaben North Municipal Assembly conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects in the Municipalities.

The team visited the following farms at Asikesu No 1, Asikesu central, Obomso, Jumapo, Kofikrom, Suhyen, Akwadum, Oyoko and Mpeam.

The monitoring team was led by the New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive ,Hon Comfort Asante and other officers from the Assembly such as Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Alhaji Tijani ,Municipal planning officer, Mrs. Florence Nartey, Municipal Finance Officer ,Mr Alhasan Muntara,  works Engineer, Mr. Joseph Badu ,Municipal Budget Analysts ,Mr Joseph Attah Baah, Municipal director for Social development, Mrs. Mahama Sally, Agric officer ,Rebecca Appiah , Education directorate was represented by Mr. Boateng Okyere ,Agric officer ,Mercy. A. Opare, Municipal procurement officer, Osei Monica Serwaa, municipal physical planning officer, George Ayensu, Acting Municipal Agric officer, Mr. Williams Asiedu Akrofi and NADMO director, Mr. Helbert Danso.

The team observed that all sixty thousand two hundred and fifty (60250) palm tree seedlings which was given out to farmers in the municipality from 2o19 and 2020 under the Government initiative “ planting for Export and Rural Development Program (PERD) in 2019 “ are growing well with some started producing its fruits for harvesting.

The municipal chief Executive thanked the farmers for doing a hard work to make this vision of the government comes into reality and to benefit the country at large.

And therefore assured the farmers that the Assembly would produce more palm seedlings for the farmers.

The farmers thanked the municipal chief Executive, the Assembly and the government for the support and demanded for more palm tree seedlings to plant.
