The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly National Clean-Up Exercise directive by the President,His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as part of efforts to restore sanitation and reduce the risk of flooding following the recent floods that affected parts of the Country.
The two- day exercise, held under the theme “Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana after the Floods,” took place on Friday, 10th July, and Saturday 11th July, 2026.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Adongo, led the exercise alongside the Assembly staff, Sanitation workers, Security personnel, Market women and residents participants desilted choked drains, cleared refuse, removed weeds, swept streets and cleaned public spaces across the Municipality to improve Environmental sanitation and ensure the free flow of rainwater.
Addressing participants, Hon. Samuel Adongo commended the commitment shown by residents and stressed that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility.
He urged everyone to make cleanliness a daily habit and to dispose of waste properly to help prevent flooding and protect public health.
The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a clean, healthy and resilient Municipality and expressed appreciation to all individuals and organizations whose participation contributed to the success of the exercise.
