NATIONAL SANITATION DAY AT KASAGYAN-HIGHWAY

National Sanitation day Exercise in the New Juaben North Municipality came off successfully in parts of the Effiduase Township.
The exercise was led by the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Charles Uyan, with support from the Chiefs of Effiduase, Ghana Arm Forces, Prison Service, Inmates from Prisons, Assembly Staffs, and some Community members of the Abrewa Nkwanta Township.
The Exercise saw to the sweeping of streets, weeding of bushy areas and dredging of choked gutters from the roundabout Junction through to the Kasagyan –highway.
In an address, the Municipal Environmental health officer, explained that his priority is to make sure that the sanitation law is enforced to curb the issue of poor hygiene in the various communities.
He stressed also that refusing to keep our environment clean in the Municipality is prohibited due to its danger to human health, he therefore urged everyone to keep his or her environment clean.
The Municipal head of works, Engineer Samuel Adu Boateng, advice the general Public to acquire permit before building and also desist from building on water ways.
