The New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Samuel Adongo has emphasized the importance of good menstrual hygiene practices at this year’s world menstrual hygiene day.
Speaking on the theme “Together for a period friendly world,” the MCE urged the girls to take their menstrual hygiene seriously highlighting its role in building self-confidence and improving academic achievements.
Hon.Adongo assured the girls of his commitment to empowering them to reach their full potentials. He stressed on the need to intensify Education on menstrual hygiene to do away with myths surrounding it and also enable Government succeed with the “one girl one pad” project.
About 500 pads provided by the Member of Parliament for New Juaben North Constituency, Hon.Nana Osei Adjei were distributed to selected schools in the Municipality.
Present was the former MCE ,Hon. Comfort Asante, Health Professionals, Education Directorates, the Gender desk officers, students and the media.
