The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has bag 534 thousand 857 Ghana cedis in six months out of its one million 296 thousand 284 revenue target for the year.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Comfort Asante in an address at the first session of the second sitting of the Assembly yesterday further disclosed that the assembly also received its 2019 third and fourth quarter district assembly common fund allocation of 841 thousand 660 Ghana cedis. She added that the assembly is yet to receive this year’s allocation of DACF which will be used to continue the implementation of programmes and projects.
Madam Asante said the assembly has embarked on a sensitization drive on the need of households to have toilet facilities adding that the assembly will support them with cement and roofing. She appealed to all households in the municipality to build toilet facilities to help promote sanitation.
The MCE highlighted on efforts put in place in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Madam Asante said the assembly has set a task force to enforce the safety protocols adding that veronica buckets have been placed at vantage points in various institutions in the municipality to ensure regular hand washing.
The MCE said Planting for food and Job and all other government flagships programmes are being executed. Madam Asante urged all to rally behind the government to move the country forward.
