The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly joined chiefs, Elders and people of Suhyen to celebrate Akwasidea at their Palace on the 15th September, 2024.
The Forum was held with the theme: Good Governance, The role of Stakeholders. The meeting was also part of Governments policy of bringing local Governance to the doorstep of the Citizenry.
The Hon.Municipal Chief Executive, Dr.Edward Asante Antwi in his address showcased the numerous projects undertaken by the Assembly and the ones that were yet to be completed.
He stressed that, the Government have bought Equipment to construct the road networks in our Municipality, under the Government initiative Programme, ”District Road Improvement Programme”(DRIP) which aimed at setting the Municipality on a good developmental ladder.
He urged everyone that his doors are opened for any form of complaints and suggestions when the need be.
Reacting to the concerns raised by the Chiefs, the Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North, Hon. Dr. Edward Asante Antwi said the first face of the Market building will be completed this year and the second face would be continue by the next Member of Parliament, Hon. Nana Osei Agyei.
The MCE said the Chip-compound clinic at Suhyen is part of the middle belt projects, and the Assembly and MP cannot take over to continue and therefore have contacted the middle belt Authority for its continuation.
He informed the Chiefs and Elders of the town to help bring peace to Suhyen so that a lot of developmental projects can be taken there as the MP, Hon. Nana Agyei Boateng is committed to build the Market.
He also said that for the information center issues, the matter have being moved from Municipal security council to Regional security council and would contact the council how far so that we can allow it to be operational because the Assembly also needs it to disseminate their information.
The Chief of Suhyen thank the MCE and the Assembly for coming to celebrate the Akwasidea with them for the development of their community.
