The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has held its General Assembly fundraising durbar of the school Management Committee Federation two at Jumapo Community center.
A speech was delivered on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive of the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly, Hon Comfort Asante, by Miss Matilda Akuffo Owusu, she urged all stakeholders in education sector and the Governing Boards to work together with the Government in financing education for positive outcomes.
She believed, financing of education involves massive investments, especially at the pre-tertiary level where children are given the foundation to build upon in their academic journey. However, the issue of financing must be of interest to all of us as people, and not only the Government.
It is evident that almost all the advanced countries in the world have higher literacy rates and this accounts for their level of development.
It is for this reason that government places high priority on education, to deliver its goals and objectives, and enhance our development agenda.
The chief of Jumapo, Nana Oppong Owusu III, stated that the School Management Committee has a huge task and it will require our support as stakeholders in education.
He therefore urge everybody to contribute towards the fundraising to support their activities.
The New Juaben North Municipal Head of supervision, for education, Madam Mary Opoku advised parents to take care of their children education rather than using the money to buy clothes for funerals and also to monitor their activities.
Presents were the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly Mrs. Ramatu Ibrahim Suala, Assistant director IIB, Mr. Derick Atta Gyan, Assistant director IIB (Jumapo Zonal Council) and Dr. Nana Twum Agyeman,the chairman for the Federation two.
