ORIENTATION AND INDUCTION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS

New  Juaben North Municipal Assembly have held orientation and induction ceremony for thirty (30) community Health workers under Youth Employment Agency  in the municipality at the  municipal Annex at Effiduase on 3rd November,2022.

The municipal chief Executive, Hon. Comfort Asante in her welcome address said, the Youth are our future leaders and must be given the opportunity to contribute meaningful to the development of Ghana.

She said,  the health sector plays a critical role in the development of our nation, and  this program has come to address the challenges of inadequate staff especially in the rural health facilities to enhance general service delivery and healthcare for our people.

She therefore urge our community Health workers to see this as an opportunity to serve the Nation, and also acquire working experience.

The Municipal Health Director, Nana Yaa Konadu, in her speech advice the beneficiaries to abide by all rules and regulations of Health care in Ghana and therefore give respect to the patients’ rights.

She urge them to accept posting to whichever facility within the municipality chips compounds and make sure to give off their maximum best in the performance of their duties because hard work always pays.

The Municipal director of Youth Employment Agency, Mr. Abubakar Alhasan said it is worth nothing that as part of the existing strategy, arrangements have been made with the ministry of Health to place premium on applications from beneficiaries during admission processes into the various Nursing Training schools, as a result of the field experience they have gained.

Beneficiaries will receive a monthly allowance of GH¢500, a hundred percent increase from the old GH¢250 monthly allowance.

The beneficiaries expressed so much joy and gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the opportunity given to them.
