A section of the Akwadum to Suhum road in the New Juaben North Municipality have received rehabilitation to cushion road users who ply on the road.
Some parts of the road have developed severe portholes that makes it difficult for drivers who used the road daily basis.
The New Juaben North Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Samuel Adongo emphasized the need to ensure facelift of the road considering the challenges road users go through to lessen the burden until the contractor start work.
He noted that though the road has been awarded to a contractor, the Assembly cannot sit unconcerned for motorists and pedestrians to struggle.
The MCE as part of his vision stated that he is poised to improve the quality of Education, HealthCare and sanitation within the Municipality as well as create jobs for the youth.
‘I will ensure that the Municipality gets a modern market center, lorry station and also to increase revenue mobilization’ He stated.
Drivers who used to complain of periodically buying spare parts to replace damaged parts of their cars could not hide their joy but commended the MCE and the Government for responding swiftly to the cry of road users and urged authorities to ensure that the project is well executed as expected on time.
